Our team

We are here for you…

All our staff have a wealth of experience in working within the Early Years environment.

The School is divided into two classrooms, each room with two dedicated Teachers and a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This allows the staff to really understand your child’s strengths and development needs, as well as ensuring the children feel safe and comfortable within a consistent environment.

Clare Collins (Miss Clare)

Clare started her Early Years Teaching career at Wimbledon Park Montessori School in 1992, and took over its ownership in 2000.  Clare has put in place an excellent team of highly experienced, motivated and passionate staff who teach your children on a daily basis.  Clare has two children of her own, who both attended the nursery, and stays fully involved with the running of the nursery.  She attends the school during the week on a regular basis to meet the parents and stay abreast of the children’s development.

Miss Mari,  Senior Montessori Teacher

Joined WPMS in September 2016

Miss Mari is from Romania, where she did a Bachelor Degree in Social Work, she worked as a youth worker for two years in her home town. In 2011, she decided to move to London as an au-pair. Soon after she moved here, she found out about the Montessori education and she was eager to study more about it and she completed the Montessori diploma a few years after. She is really passionate to deliver a very good education by combining the EYFS guidance and the Montessori philosophy for each individual child to reach their full potential.

Miss Mari believes that education is way of life and she likes to learn new things on a daily basis. At the moment she is learning to speak Spanish. She lives here with her husband and both of them are professional scuba divers, and they love aquatic life. They look forward to where their diving passions will take them this year.

Miss Eva, Teacher

Miss Eva is a qualified Primary School Teacher who joined the Wimbledon Park Montessori School in 2011. She is passionate about the Montessori philosophy of education and believes that a happy child supported by talented, experienced teachers will achieve huge success. She feels that working with and supporting children to discover their inner creativity and uniqueness is one of the most amazing experiences possible. Moving to and living in London since 2011 has been an exciting experience for her, and she enjoys exploring the diverse city and cycling through its beautiful parks.

Miss Shane,  Teacher

I have lived and worked in Southfields for over 20 years.

I started working as a childminder when my children were babies in 1998, as my boys were growing up, I started working in a local Montessori nursery where I completed my NVQ level 3 in childcare and education.

In 2012 I became a foster carer providing respite, I am now a long-term carer for a looked after child.

In my fee time I enjoy going up and down the river on our boat, walking my dog, growing my own fruit and vegetables and spending time with my granddaughter.

Miss Moushmi,  Teacher

Joined WPMS in 2022

Moushmi is a mother to two beautiful children, both Montessori pedagogy alumni. She was introduced to Montessori philosophy when looking for the right preschool for her older one, and then there was no looking back!

After completing her Association Montessori Internationale diploma in 2017, she worked in Singapore as a Montessori Directress before moving to London in early 2022.

Moushmi is a Computer Engineer with Distinction, an experienced technical and soft-skills trainer, a professionally-trained Indian classical dancer and has a deep interest in early childhood education.

“What I admire most about the Montessori method is how scientific it is. It is based not only on child psychology but also the natural laws of development. Its belief that self-activity is the basis for education really resonates with me. Following this pedagogy with both my children, Montessori is now a way of life for me.”

Miss Elizabeth, Assistant Teacher

I live in Southfields and I am a busy mother of two very large teenage boys, both of whom went to the Montessori many years ago so I know it very well! I previously worked in a local school in both the Nursery and Reception for many years, so I have had a lot of experience working with small children. I love my job as an assistant as I have day to day contact caring for the children and I feel that we provide such a positive, friendly and ultimately compassionate environment, that the children can get on with their learning whilst having lots of fun at the same time.

Miss Humera, Teacher

Miss Humera is a fully qualified Primary School Teacher with a BA Hons in Education. With a family fully involved in education (her husband is a Secondary School teacher, his grandfather was also a teacher and her eldest son has just started university) she understands and appreciates the value of education and how it can enhance the life chances of any individual. She enjoys working with younger students and her placement for her degree specialised in early years.

Miss Humera loves cooking and making food. She runs a business from her home where her neighbours and locals can order a ‘Friday Curry Box’ for collection – she started this when Covid hit and cannot believe it is still going!

Miss Sofia, Teacher

I am a qualified Early Childhood Education teacher from Argentina, where I was introduced to the Montessori philosophy, and I fell in love with it.

I first came to London in early 2023. Since then, I have had the amazing opportunity to get to know the nursery and the WPMS team.

I love working with little children and witnessing their constant evolution. I believe that every child has an untapped potential waiting to be developed.

Miss Nicky, Assistant Teacher

Hello, my name is Nicky and ever since I was young I always wanted to work with young children. When I left School, I trained at the London Montessori Teaching Training College. Once completing the course I got my first job as a teacher and worked at a nursery called Toad Hall!  A few years later I got married and had a little boy of my own. I have lived in Southfields for 15 years and still love it.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking and going for walks with my family and friends.

Miss Graciely, Teaching Assistant

My name is Graciely, and I am from Brazil. I’ve been living in London since 2004. I have a NVQ level 3 in childcare and a Froebel certificate in early childhood. I used to work at Wimbledon Park Montessori School from 2011 until 2016 before my children were born. I am very delighted to rejoin the team again.

Miss Caroline, Assistant Teacher

My name is Caroline.  I live in Southfields but previously lived in Putney where I started my family.  I regularly attended my children’s primary schools assisting in classroom activities and attending trips.  I also spent two years working in reception at Hotham school supporting a little boy with special needs.  Now my children are adults I miss using my maternal nature.

I commenced my career in a corporate capacity but since raising my family I have continued my vocation in a variety of more caring roles.  For my next position I was seeking to be involved in the community and I am now excited to contribute to giving children a positive and happy start to their education.
