Wimbledon Park Montessori School provides an environment in which children are allowed to grow and develop at their own pace.  The ideals of the School follow the principles of the Montessori philosophy, providing child-centred education, that allows each child to discover their own confidence and independence - a setting offering freedom within a structured environment.

The School was set up in 1991, and moved to its current sole-use premises in 1994.  Clare Collins, the School principal, is a qualified and experienced Montessori teacher, and has been teaching at the School since 1992, and purchased WPMS in 2000.  All teaching staff hold a diploma in Montessori Education.

The School is registered with Wandsworth Education Department for children between the ages of 2 and 5.  Morning sessions run from 9am until 12.15pm, and afternoon sessions run from 1pm until 4pm.  The School is open for three terms per year, of approximately 11 weeks each, with half term breaks.  Holiday fun sessions are offered at an extra charge during the School breaks, dates being dependent on Term times and public holidays.
